A message from our founder, David Jackson...March, 2008

As we all know things change, and change is good. The C.A.P.E. Coffeehouse has been a plant I planted and harvested together with like-minded friends who did it as a labor of love for eight years. Three of the last eight years you’ve seen Camille Breeze use her considerable talents as a host and performer blossom, as did C.A.P.E. Coffeehouse. Her new songs along with that exquisite voice are a treat to listen to. Camille continues the tradition along with Co-Host Rick Fetters (A truly remarkable person, talent and promoter) who is known by many in the Southeast songwriter circuit.

Thank you to Carolyn MacMorrow for the use of the Old Methodist Meetinghouse, a wonderful historic building maintained by the Wareham Historical Society. Thanks to the Cultural Council, the posse who took the ride and continues to take the ride. To Dick Webb, whose friendship and service with the C.A.P.E. website has been a godsend, thanks so much (www.cape.webbweaver.com).

Thanks for the support of our Music Schools 1.) Donna Prypin, Music at the Mills, Marsden Mills  2.) Marilyn Brown, Agawam Keyboard Arts, Wareham and 3.) Pat Drain and Paul Kinnear, Middle Street School of Music, Plymouth, all of whom go back 30 years of friendship. I could not have gotten the word out if not for the networking friends of Karen Woodhall, Leona Bombachi, and Ellen Schmidt (Two for the Show) not to mention Camille Breeze and her tremendous business sense.

As always, I thank Kathy Hayden, Mary Hayden, Valerie Greene, George Kurlycheck and Jerry and Dianne Lagadec, for keeping me always thinking of my possibilities and encouraging me to pursue great things for the right reasons. Thanks to Sandy Stride and Keith James and Potentials Unlimited for lighting at the coffeehouse and friendship. Thanks to all the donations from the Students, schools, music stores, and Patrons. Camille, thanks for my 50th Birthday party, it was swell to see everybody. I would have hid to avoid the attention if not for you.

In summing this all up, I’ll be re-energizing and helping my mom while I think of all of you, my extended family that includes the many musicians, students and their family and friends.  My friend Jennifer Evans is out playing again, so please give her a listen!

Keep the Music Playing.

Never say Never.

Love, David

Dick, once more, that website was a tremendous asset! www.cape.webbweaver.com. Thanks again Breezie for your love and friendship.
